BREAK OUT OF THE BOX SYMPOSIA SESSION DETAIL

This innovative format of engaging top leader presenters with the audience will utilize latest developments in conducting smarter result-driven events for charting collective impact initiatives ( i.e. brainstorming in a box, return of solution discussions, action mapping, etc.) The session will launch with an hour of panel presentations outlining innovative solutions and challenges in particular areas of mental health that have the promise to move the needle on mental health. In the second hour, through a facilitated discussion, participants and symposium presenters will identify problems, opportunities, ideal scenarios and action steps that can solve main challenges.

SYMPOSIUM DESCRIPTION

ID & INTERSECTIONALITY

This session focuses primarily on innovative, multifaceted approaches to improve access to services, appropriate treatment, and mental wellness across gender, sexuality, culture, and age. Emphasis will be placed on ideas and solutions that work to improve mental health among individuals who identify as a member of one or more of the aforementioned identity subgroups

RECOVERY CONTINUUM

Throughout this session, national and international leaders across suicide prevention, peer support, and lived expertise spotlight creative approaches to solving issues across the recovery and crisis continuum.

SEEING THE UNHEARD

During this session, effective and adaptable solutions that address barriers in accessing mental health services for underrepresented and/or hard-to-reach populations including rural and aging communities will be highlighted.

MONEY & SYSTEMS CHANGE

This session will spotlight new or reframed broad-scale models and ideas that improve mental health at the systemic or wide-reaching community levels that face both consumer and provider.

ACTION HOUR DETAIL
All conference attendees and presenters will come together to chart a road map of exciting collective impact initiative that will change the future of mental health.
